New Mary J. Blige Video – We Got Hood Love

Mary J Blige Trey Songz

Mary J. Blige just released her new music video for “We Got Hood Love”, a track which Trey Songz also worked on. It follows four couples who have a fight but make up at the end of the clip.

George Wilson plays Mary’s love interest in this video directed by Chris Robinson. The two filmed their scenes in Miami, and Trey shot his scene in a New York apartment.

"I just played off her. If she jumped down my throat, in my mind I'm saying, 'Say something. Come back, come back,' because all we really had to do was argue," George told the Buffalo News about his video shoot with Mary. "They had the music playing over us, so it was definitely a new arena for me. I'm used to having my jersey and helmet on."

"But to have them off and be in front of the camera and be working with an icon like Mary, I knew I had to bring my 'A' game like you have to on the field. I wanted to make it seem like I was as comfortable as possible so that when you see the video hopefully I don't look like an amateur."

"We Got Hood Love" is the latest release from Mary J. Blige’s latest album “Stronger With Each Tear”.

Mary J. Blige Covers Whole Lotta Love + Stairway To Heaven

Mary J. Blige Led Zeppelin

Mary J. Blige shows her inner rock chick while covering two legendary songs of Led Zeppelin. Mary J’s version of “Whole Lotta Love” and “Stairway To Heaven” are included on her international edition of her latest album “Stronger With Each Tear”.

“Whole Lotta Love” was produced by RedOne and “Stairway To Heaven” was revised by Travis Barker, Randy Jackson and Steve Vai. Both songs are extremely difficult to cover, and Mary J. Blige truly did a good job with both of them.

Here’s what Mary J. Blige had to say about covering these two bonus tracks:

“I did Led Zeppelin’s ‘Stairway to Heaven’ and ‘Whole Lotta Love’ — it’s crazy.I am a Led Zeppelin fan. I’m not going to say I’ve been to their concerts, but I’ve listened to their music since I was a child, and it’s always moved me, especially ‘Stairway to Heaven,’ and ‘Whole Lotta Love’ is just fun.Of course, there’s definitely an inner rock chick in Mary J. Blige.Oh man I had a good time doing A Whole Lotta Love, the acting it out, being the rock and roll Mary was so much fun!”

Mary J. Blige is Stronger With Each Tear

stronger with each tear

Soul and R&B superstar Mary J. Blige just released her new album “Stronger With Each Tear” and is set to bump Alicia Keys to the third spot of Billboard’s top charts. As amazing as Mary J. is, she also will most likely not beat Susan Boyle’s “I Dreamed A Dream”.

Her new album might not reach to number one on its first week, but Mary J. Blige is already thinking of another album. In the near future she will work on a jazz album, because she says she wants to do a more classic genre.

She also insists on collaborating with Anita Baker on her next album. "I haven't had a chance to collaborate with Anita Baker yet. So when I do my jazz album, Anita, I'm coming for you," Mary explained. "I have no idea when I'm going to do the jazz album, but it can't be long. It won't be long."

“Stronger With Each Tear” dropped in the U.S on December 21st and includes duet songs with Drake, T.I., and Trey Songz.
