2010 Met Styles - More Color Trends

More of the color themes from the Metropolitan's Costume Institute Gala Benefit for American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity held on May 3 in New York City.

Pink - a little similar to the neutral trend, and yeah it does have a few of the dresses from the neutral feature but they fit with pink too as the shades ranged from palest blush to barbie pink and berry.

Kate Hudson's Stella McCartney dress was embellished with lots of sparkle and co-ordinated perfectly with her Casadei platform pumps.

Alessandra Ambrosio in her Versace (again). The shimmery gown was paired with sparkling Lorraine Schwartz earrings and cuff.

Jessica Alba was extremely elegant in her dusky rose shaded satin dress from designer Sophie Theallet.

January Jones in her bold pink and black Yves Saint Laurent dress matched with long black gloves and classic pumps.

Rachel Weisz in her strapless bright pink dress. And Naomi Watts in her regal looking Stella McCartney bow-shouldered gown, which was matched with metallic gold clutch and Christian Louboutin heels.

Shades of blue began with Doutzen Kroes' Zac Posen gown.

Coco Rocha could have fitted into a few color spectrums with her watercolor gown, also from Zac Posen.

Christina Hendricks made the most of her assetts in a v-neck dress from L'Wren Scott complete with huge floral detail on the shoulder.

Amber Valetta was all elegance in her Roland Mouret dress and diamonds. Emmy Rossum opted for a cobalt shade. Blake Lively also went blue in her ruffled Marchesa mini dress.

And Mariska Hargitay and Sienna Miller were at the darker end of the scale with their petrol and navy blue dresses.

Jennifer Lopez was a sparkling diva in her Zuhair Murad silver gown.

Marion Cotillard was covered in sprakles all over wearing an Haute Couture Christian Dior creation.

Maggie Grace was elegant in strapless grey. Fellow TV star, Kristen Bell also opted for strapless grey with her Diane von Furstenberg design.

Nicole Richie was in Marc Jacobs sequins.

And Claire Danes opted for a dark grey metallic dress, custom-made by Burberry.

French Star Styles at the Cesar Awards

A whole host of French stars attended the 35th Cesar Film Awards held in Paris on February 27.

Laetitia Casta must have turned a lot of heads wea
ring a totally sheer black gown with just some beading and feathers to preserve some modesty.

Melanie Laurent was overdressed by comparisson in a black blazer, beaded top, leather pants and booties outfit.

Marion Cotillard wore a lovely golden Christian Dior gown, it's just a shame she chose to cover it up on the red carpet with a little grey jacket.

My fave of the night - Vanessa Paradis, but I always love Vanessa; she looked super sweet in a little metallic Chanel dress paired with black pumps.

Marion and Penelope Premiere Nine in Paris

I thought that the premiere events for Nine were all over but obviously not as Daniel Day-Lewis, Penelope Cruz, Marion Cotillard and director Rob Marshall were all out at the French premiere, held in Paris on February 18.

Penelope went for a dusty rose colored L'Wren Scott gown and metallic Casadei heels, and Marion stuck with Dior, wearing a lace overlay dress and ankle strapped heels from the designer.

Stars of Nine at the 2010 SAG Awards

The female leads of Nine on stage to present at the 2010 SAG Awards, where they were up for the Oustanding Cast Award.

First Nicole Kidman, she skipped the red carpet which is such a shame as this is a really fresh look for her.

Back with red hair this is like Nicole in the '90s, and she really stood out from her co-stars in her shimmering gold Oscar de la Renta gown, which she wore with Fred Leighton jewels.

Marion Cotillard didn't go for a gown but looked fabulous in a beaded and feathered Elie Saab dress, super high Saab heels and a Judith Leiber clutch.

Penelope Cruz kept it simple in black, and looked quite boring in comparison to her co-stars, wearing a beaded L'Wren Scott dress with a Chopard bracelet, basic black clutch and Casadei heels.
Kate Hudson was stunning from the front and back in her white Emilio Pucci gown; the gown had its own sparkling silver accent but that didn't stop Kate adding even more bling, with over $1.75 million worth of Cartier jewelry.

Marion Cotillard went for a fun look at the 15th annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards on January 15.

Just a few days earlier the French star looked boring in a draped black gown but what a difference here in her corset topped and metallic embellished Christian Dior design.

Chopard jewels and a pretty pink clutch completed the glam look.

Marion, Penelope and Sophia Promote Nine in Rome

While most of the world first saw Nine premiere in December, a few of the stars were just in Rome to promote the movie there.

Attending the photocall a few days ago, Marion Cotillard kept it rather prim and proper in a white v-neck dress (most likely Dior) and simple black pumps.

Penelope Cruz wore a sheer, lace and tassel bottomed dress from Dolce & Gabbana.

And Sophia Loren was timelessly elegant in a black suit and t-bar heels.

Later for the premiere, while Pene glammed up in gold Armani, Marion was drab in a long black gown from French designer Vionet.

And Sophia went all out in a black gown with sparkling criss-cross straps and yellow feathers to add some coverage.

Elegant Star Styles at the Nine Premiere

The New York City premiere of Nine took place on December 15 and most of the movie's biggest stars were in attendance. Kate Hudson was gorgeous in a black and white sequined Chanel Haute Couture gown, black peep-toe heels and jewels from Stephen Russell and Chopard.

Penelope Cruz brought bright color to the event in her red gown, also Chanel Haute Couture teamed with Chopard diamonds.

Nicole Kidman didn't opt for a gown but was still elegant in a black Prada dress, peep-toe heels and Fred leighton earrings.

Fergie went for the Grecian Goddess look in a white chiffon Marchesa gown, complete with embroidered waist detail. 66 carats of Chopard diamonds and a sparkling clutch added even more glamour to her look.

And, also in white, Marion Cotillard cut a lovely figure in a fresh strapless column dress, with bejeweled bodice.

Stars at the Dior Haute Couture Fashion Show

Stylish stars were out in Paris earlier this week for the Christian Dior Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2009 show on Monday January 26.

Mischa Barton was in a daring and rather low cut yellow creation by the designer and some extravagent gold heels.

Marion Cotillard, who will undoubtedly be looking for a suitable dress for this year's Oscars where she will be returning to present, was in a chic black ensemble from the designer.

And Dita Von Teese, who has attended almost every Dior and Galliano show of late, also honored the designer in a grey belted pencil dress but paired it with Christian Louboutin lace up heels.
